My name is Jessica and I am a beginner in photography. My favorite subject matter to photograph is things in nature, and I love going outside and finding new things to photograph. The pictures in National Geographic absolutely amaze me, and make me want to be able to take photos like that. I am a quiet and reserved person, and I think my love for simplistic photographs displays to other people those qualities of myself. I hope to learn how to photograph better and continue to photograph for the rest of my life.
For me, photography is a means of self expression. I like to photograph the simple, beautiful things around me that most people over look. I like for my photos to tell a story, and things in nature tell the best stories. I want my photos to capture the simplistic beauty of nature and sunlight. Discovering new things in nature and being able to photograph them is exciting, and it is why I have a passion for photography.
John Shaw is a popular nature photographer whose photos have been featured in magazines such as National Geographic and National Wildlife. He has been a professional nature photographer since 1970, and he is still popular today. During his fame, which is still going on now, many things were happening in the world. Some of these issues are America’s involvement in the Middle East, the Persian Gulf War, and the terrorist attacks on America in 2001. John Shaw is from America, and his education is unknown. His main photographic subject is nature and wild animals. Shaw’s main technique is using a simple composition for his pictures and his pictures are mostly bright with a lot of natural light from the sun. I really like Shaw’s work because it is simple but it captures the true beauty of nature and wild animals that a person doesn’t usually ever have a chance to see. Something interesting about Shaw is that he has photographed on all 7 continents, something many nature photographers long to do. People can learn from Shaw’s work that simpler pictures are a lot of the time better and more professional than pictures that are very busy with a lot in the composition.
